Pre employment training
Specialist and intensive support over an 8-week period designed to get an unemployed person back into work. The course includes career advice as well as support from an employer engagement specialist and opportunities for work based learning through Train to Gain.
Employability Skills Programme (ESP)
The Employability Skills Programme (ESP) is designed to increase the chances of finding regular and long term employment. Along with supported job searching activities and work placements, the programme includes interview techniques, CV writing skills and employability skills. We also help participants to brush up on a variety of other skills they may need in everyday life and gain qualifications.
New Deal with Jobcentre Plus
New Deal 25+ IAP
This is a 13 week option for New Deal 25+ customers living in Newham. New Deal customers have the opportunity to gain work experience with various employers and also to improve their employability skills. New Deal customers are required to attend 30 hours per week (some exceptions for Lone Parents).
New Deal 25+ Basic Skills
This is a 26 week option for New Deal 25+ customers living in Newham. All New Deal customers work towards a basic skills qualification in Literacy, Numeracy or ESOL. There is also the opportunity to gain work experience with various employers and to improve their employability skills. New Deal customers are required to attend 30 hours per week (some exceptions for Lone Parents).
New Deal for Disabled People
TBG Learning works closely with the Shaw Trust to deliver a programme for people who are disadvantaged in the labour market due to a disability. It aims to get 400 people into part or full time work through personalised support and assistance dependent on the needs and goals of the individual.
