Q. What are the different qualification equivalent to?
A. An Apprenticeship at level 2 qualification is equivalent to five GCSE grade A-C. An Advanced Apprenticeship at level 3 qualification is equivalent to two A levels.
Q. Can I complete it if I change job?
A. Yes you can complete the course if you change job role providing your new role relates to the qualification e.g. if you went from an administration role to a warehousing role you wouldn’t be able to complete an administration course but we can normally offer a new course i.e. warehouse and storage.
Q. How many qualifications can I do at one time?
A. You can only do one course at a time this is due to funding regulations.
Q. Can I do a qualification if I have a degree?
A. Eligibility changes all the time so to be safe we advise you contact your local TBG Learning Centre and double check.
Q. Can I still start a course if I have learning difficulties?
A. Yes we offer extra help and support for people with learning difficulties.
Q. Does it matter how old you are?
A. We work with people from 16 upwards.
Q. Are they nationally recognised?
A. Yes they are they are nationally recognised at colleges, universities and within the business sectors, so they open many doors for you.
Q. Where is the learning delivered?
A. All of our courses are delivered in the work place, so you don’t have to come to one of our Centers or go to a college etc unless you participate on the Programme Led Apprentice programme.
Q. Can I fail the course?
A. No you can not fail. Our assessors will help you in every way they can. If there is an area you struggle with they will give you extra support, to up-skill you in these areas where further development is needed. You will then be re-assessed until they feel you are competent and have met the qualification standard. All that is asked is that put in the effort.
Q. Can I take it with me if I leave my current job?
A. Yes once you have completed a course it is yours forever and you can take it with you where ever your career path may take you. If you change employer you can carry on with the qualification as long as your new employer will allow the Assessors to visit and that you are in a relevant role.
Q. How often will the assessor visit me at work?
A. Our assessors try and visit every two to three weeks if they can’t make it that often they will always visit you within a four week period.
