Employability Skills
Many employers set high expectations for their work force, and are keen to work with young people, who are able to communicate effectively at an interview, demonstrate good people skills and are committed to their new organisation. These are just some of the basic attributes that are required in today’s fast moving world of work. This qualification may give you the opportunity to get involved in a company on a work experience placement, whilst studying for your employability skills qualification, and gain the skills that you need to further your learning and your career options.

Eligibility
Customers must be aged 16-19*. No formal qualifications are required, but you will be asked to complete a reading and writing assesment, to ensure we offer the correct level of support. UK/EU residency rules apply.

IT (Information Technology)
As the world shifts more and more on line, those with a good knowledge of computing and ICT will be invaluable to all sectors of business. Gaining good ICT skills is just as important in your everyday life as many of you will come into contact with new or existing technologies and many of you already apply for both employment and courses via on line applications.

Skills Support Programme
BREEZE (Pre-NEET)
Breeze is a 12 week programme for young people that develops confidence, personal effectiveness and social skills. This programme provides a range of opportunities to gain work experience.

Eligibility
This programme is open to anyone aged 14 - 16, who are in year 10 to 11 at school. Referals have to be via Schools, Behavorial Support, Y.O.T, connexions or any other referal source. |

Numeracy
This course leads to a nationally recognised qualification. It will help to improve maths skills in a programme of assistance tailored to individual needs.

Eligibility
This course is for employed people in reciept of Jobseekers Allowance (JSA). English must be your first language and you must have basic numeracy, literacy and computer skills. |

• Adult Numeracy (Entry Level to Level 2) |

Work Experience Placements
A four week placement that is community based to provide the customer with work experience. CV writing, references and job searching support is also given.
