Construction The Construction industry is a huge sector, employing over 2.2 million people within the UK. Construction is project based work and is essentially an exercise in teamwork and organisation. Work is carried out with many different specialists across the sector, as well as with clients and the general public. Most people in the industry enjoy the variety the work offers, as well as being able to get out and about, and often being able to see the finished product of their work. Numeracy This course leads to a nationally recognised qualification. It will help to improve maths skills in a programme of assistance tailored to individual needs.	Eligibility This course is for employed people in reciept of Jobseekers Allowance (JSA). English must be your first language and you must have basic numeracy, literacy and computer skills. Literacy This course leads to a nationally recognised qualification. It will help to improve reading, writing and spelling skills in a programme of assistance tailored to individual needs.	Eligibility This course is for employed people in reciept of Jobseekers Allowance (JSA). English must be your first language and you must have basic numeracy, literacy and computer skills. English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) ESOL courses give customers a better understanding of both written and spoken English. If English is not your first language then this course will give you more confidence in handling everyday situations such as dealing with employers, doctors or socialising.	Eligibility Non EU citizens have to have been in the UK for at least three years, with exception to those with marriage visas who have to wait one year. Computers for Beginners - UK Online Basic IT courses aimed at customers who need to know how to use the computer for job search. Work Experience Placements A 4 week placement that is community based to provide the customer with work experience. CV writing, references and job searching support is also given. English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Citizenship This course will help you if you want to study, improve your CV, or apply to become a British citizen.
