Many employers set high expectations for their work force, and are keen to work with young people, who are able to communicate effectively at an interview, demonstrate good people skills and are committed to their new organisation. These are just some of the basic attributes that are required in today’s fast moving world of work. This qualification may give you the opportunity to get involved in a company on a work experience placement, whilst studying for your employability skills qualification, and gain the skills that you need to further your learning and your career options.

Business Administration
Administration is at the heart of all organisations, it is what keeps the business running behind the scenes. Your role within business administration will depend on the size of the organisation, and the requirements, so if you think of yourself as an organised people’s person, then this could be a potential career route for you. This could lead to a wide range of further qualifications or employment.

Childcare
A career in child care is rewarding, enjoyable and extremely important. The first few years of a child's life are important to form a basis for good education, self-discipline and social integration. Most people who work in the sector love their jobs and look forward to going to work every day. Not only do you get to enjoy playing and having fun with children but you are also helping them to develop and learn. Children will use some of the skills they learn with you, such as how to get on with other children, for the rest of their lives. If you are interested in caring and educating children, then this course will help you to further develop your skills. Please be aware that a Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) checks will be required.

English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)
ESOL courses give customers a better understanding of both written and spoken English. If English is not your first language then this course will give you more confidence in handling everyday situations such as dealing with employers, doctors or socialising.

Eligibility
Non EU citizens have to have been in the UK for at least three years, with exception to those with marriage visas who have to wait one year.
Refugees and Asylum Seekers eligability is dependant on circumstances. |
