Business Administration Administration is at the heart of all organisations, it is what keeps the business running behind the scenes. Your role within business administration will depend on the size of the organisation, and the requirements, so if you think of yourself as an organised people’s person, then this could be a potential career route for you. This could lead to a wide range of further qualifications or employment. Construction The Construction industry is a huge sector, employing over 2.2 million people within the UK. Construction is project based work and is essentially an exercise in teamwork and organisation. Work is carried out with many different specialists across the sector, as well as with clients and the general public. Most people in the industry enjoy the variety the work offers, as well as being able to get out and about, and often being able to see the finished product of their work. You will be studying • Course introduction/personal safety • Health and Safety • Functional skills Maths, English and ICT* • Plumbing • Transferring levels in plumbing • Working with manipulative compression fittings • Copper pipe bending and jointing • Connecting plastic fittings to a cold water cistern and central heating • Electrical Installation • Connection of flex to common apparatus • Wiring • Trunking *Optional choice	Eligibility Customers must be aged 16-19. Childcare A career in child care is rewarding, enjoyable and extremely important. The first few years of a child's life are important to form a basis for good education, self-discipline and social integration. Most people who work in the sector love their jobs and look forward to going to work every day. Not only do you get to enjoy playing and having fun with children but you are also helping them to develop and learn. Children will use some of the skills they learn with you, such as how to get on with other children, for the rest of their lives. If you are interested in caring and educating children, then this course will help you to further develop your skills. Please be aware that a Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) checks will be required. The UK Hair and Beauty industry provides personal services such as hairdressing, beauty therapy, body therapy and massage. For those of you who like the glitz and glamour of film and TV the hair and beauty sector also provide professional services such as make-up for film and television. If Hair and Beauty is the career for you, this course will provide you with the knowledge, understanding and especially the skills required to prepare for work in the hairdressing or beauty therapy sector.
