TBG Learning’s Outstanding Inspection Results

Wednesday 24th November 2010

TBG Learning is delighted to celebrate the results of its recent Ofsted Inspection, which once again have placed the organisation among the top providers in the UK for the quality of its provision. The inspection report, which dealt with all aspects of TBG Learning’s services, has graded its Equality and Diversity provision as ‘outstanding’, the highest possible grade, and the organisation’s overall effectiveness of provision as ‘good’, the next highest grade.

Ofsted is the UK's Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills, which regulates and inspects services to achieve excellence in the care of children and young people, and in education and skills for learners of all ages.

Andrew Conlan-Trant, Head of TBG Learning, congratulated all involved in the inspection, and all TBG Learning staff, on their contribution to the results.

“This a great result for TBG Learning; to receive a grade one ‘outstanding’ for Equality and Diversity a second time is testament to the equality of opportunity provided by the organisation and the celebration of diverse talents and experiences of all staff and learners which is so inherent to TBG’s culture. The overall grade is also a great achievement, and every staff member has played their part in this.”

The inspection was led by Linda Williamson, Quality Manager, and involved many members of staff across the company who were required to provide numerous statistics, samples of work, testimonials and information as evidence to the inspectors.

Linda Williamson said: “We have such a varied set of customers across our UK learning centres, due to the vast range of learning provision and support we offer, and work extremely hard at making everyone feel welcome and valued. It’s great to have this recognised with an outstanding grade for Equality and Diversity.”

Ofsted highlighted within the report that learners are motivated, enthusiastic and enjoy their learning in very safe, informal learning environments, which is recognition of the exceptional work of tutors and learning centre staff to make learning engaging and fun for all.

Louise Delany, a learner from TBG Learning Camden said:  “I came to TBG without any qualifications and unsure of what I wanted to do. Right away I felt comfortable, everyone was so welcoming and I knew this was where I wanted to go. I did the Beauty Therapy level 1 course and passed with distinction.  This made me eager to learn more, so I enrolled with London College of Beauty Therapy to do Level 2 Beauty Therapy.”
