About Us

TBG Learning seeks to establish and develop a solid and wide-ranging portfolio of learning provision for disadvantaged social groups through to advanced level qualifications for employees and their employers. By operating Learning Centres in some of the most deprived areas of the country we have shown literally thousands of clients how to maximise their own opportunities to succeed, and in so doing enhance the quality of life for both of them and their families. Our success in this is evidenced both by external inspection and by the growth of our company at a time when many learning providers were finding the going just too tough and were leaving the sector altogether.

Through the consistently successful delivery of high quality training provision on behalf of and in partnership with LearnDirect, Learning & Skills Councils, Jobcentre Plus, Colleges of Further Education and Employers, TBG Learning is establishing itself as the first of a whole new type of social economy, learning organisation. Using a combination of innovation, a concentration on our core values and building strong and effective relationships with employers and other institutions within the post 16 learning arena, we have time and again proved that social circumstances should be no barrier to effective learning and success.

As founder members of the Association of Learning Providers (ALP) and of the National Providers Sector Group (NPSG) we have been instrumental and are still very active in the debate surrounding the changes to the Post-16 learning sector introduced since March 2001, putting forward the case for the provider sector in a way that balances sound business sense with the best interests of the learners we serve.

So whether you are young or older, an employer looking for training solutions (e.g. Train to Gain, Apprenticeships, Advanced Apprenticeships ), in work and looking to upskill, out of work and wanting employment and a career or needing basic skills, e.g. help with literacy, numeracy or the English language (ESOL), we have a service that matches your needs and a track record of thousands of individual successes.

N.B. TBG Learning has received a glowing report from the Adult Learning Inspectorate, the organisation responsible for inspecting government-funded learning for people aged 16 and over. TBG Learning was awarded Grade 1 ('outstanding') in several areas, including Leadership and Management, for example, Inspectors praised the company's 'very effective operational management'.

TBG's inspection result, with an average inspection grade of 1.72 across all programmes, is the best achieved by any large multi-site independent training provider in the last two years (excludes re-inspections).

TBG Learning is also part of Dublin-based Rehab Group, an independent not for profit organisation working for social and economic inclusion among people with disabilities and others who are marginalized.

Each year more than 60,000 people access their training, employment, social care and commercial services in the group’s network of some 200 centres across Ireland and the UK.

Rehab’s philosophy is based on belief that regardless of a person’s disability or social circumstances, it’s ability that should determine success in life.

As a result, Rehab’s role goes beyond providing services that enable their clients to make the most of their skills and talents in the workplace and the wider community.
