OCR NEW CLAIT Widely recognised by employers within the admin field, New Clait is for those with a basic level of IT knowledge and skills. You would choose 5 units from 10 including 1 mandatory unit. Depending on individual requirements specific units/modules can be taken for example word processing, spreadsheets, databases, desktop publishing, graphs and charts and presentation graphics. |
OCR CLAIT PLUS Clait Plus is a natural progression from New Clait or ECDL covering areas in more depth. You must complete 1 mandatory + 3 modules for full certification. Course includes creating managing and integrating files, spreadsheets, databases, DTP, Presentation graphics, Web Page Creation, Electronic Communication and graphs and charts. |

BCS E.C.D.L. VERSION 4 The record breaking ECDL is the fastest growing IT user qualification in over 125 countries. The syllabus is designed to cover the key concepts of computing, its practical applications and their use in the workplace and society. ECDL Part 1 consists of Basic concepts of IT, using a computer and managing files and information and communication. ECDL Part 2 consists of word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentation graphics and using IT. |
e2e - What is Entry to Employment?If you are aged 16 to 18 years old and not in employment, education or training, e2e is for you. It can help you get a job or move on to further training, NVQ’s or apprenticeships. If you are not sure of the type of job you want, e2e will give you a chance to try out different jobs and help to build your confidence. You can work towards a nationally recognised IT qualification, achieve a National Certificate in Literacy and Numeracy and get some paid work experience. It’s not like school, it’s all about you and your future. Many young people have a less than positive experience at school and feel they have failed. This builds barriers to learning which we work to break down. Our e2e is flexible enough to deal with your individual needs and some achievements aren’t all about certificates or qualifications but about character development, confidence building, improving self esteem and team working. Our team try to help you to identify your goals and appreciate the value of learning. You will get practical support and advice from the tutors and your Connexions Personal Adviser throughout the course. PathwaysAre you 16 to 24 years old and struggling to find work? Pathways could be for you. Many 16 to 24 year olds have difficulty finding the right job if they have few qualifications and little work experience. Pathways offers a chance to build on the experiences and skills you have already gained on e2e (Entry to Employment) or at school. You can study Literacy and Numeracy and choose from either Business Administration Level 1 or 2 or the European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) Level 2 and work towards the National Certificate in Adult Literacy and Numeracy to Level 2. “Pathways gives you a recognised qualification that will help you to go on to further training or gain employment. We hold job search sessions each week and you will work on compiling a CV and applying for relevant jobs.
