ABC WORD PROCESSING
This recognised employer word processing qualification will encourage learners to produce accurate and effective business documents. Learn editing, loading text, changing text appearance, creating tables and saving and printing.

OCR CLAIT Plus

OCR CLAIT PLUS
Clait Plus is a natural progression from New Clait or ECDL covering areas in more depth. You must complete 1 mandatory + 3 modules for full certification. Course includes creating managing and integrating files, spreadsheets, databases, DTP, Presentation graphics, Web Page Creation, Electronic Communication and graphs and charts.

CITY & GUILDS EQUALS LEVEL ONE
With e-quals you will not only develop your expertise, you can gain a qualification, which is recognised by employers all over the world. These comprehensive, progressive awards cover everything from getting to grips with basic IT to gaining the latest professional skills ideal if you use IT as part of your job or in life in general. You can choose Using Your Computer, Spreadsheets, Database, Internet, E-mail, DTP, and Presentation Graphics.

BCS ECDL Version 4

BCS E.C.D.L. VERSION 4
The record breaking ECDL is the fastest growing IT user qualification in over 125 countries. The syllabus is designed to cover the key concepts of computing, its practical applications and their use in the workplace and society.
ECDL Part 1 consists of Basic concepts of IT, using a computer and managing files and information and communication.
ECDL Part 2 consists of word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentation graphics and using IT.

ICT ENTRY LEVEL
If you have never used a computer or the internet before Switch On or Surf Direct can help get you started including a how to use the mouse tutorial, introduction to computers, the history of the internet, the world wide web, e-mail and finding information and exploring websites.

ICT LEVEL 1
If you’d like to learn the basics of computers and software packages to help you at work or at home our IT1 course range gives you some great courses to choose from. These workbook courses show you how to use some of the basic functions of the Microsoft software packages – choose from word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentations and desktop publishing.



ICT LEVEL 2

These courses are designed to help you to work towards the ECDL and CLAIT Plus. Building on your existing knowledge, these courses help you learn new functions and applications in Microsoft Windows which can lead to Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) and CLAIT Plus qualifications – The Complete Desktop Tutor, Web Publishing using MS FrontPage, Presentations using MS PowerPoint.

ICT LEVEL 3
If you would like to extend your skills in the most complex areas of Microsoft 2000 and 2002 applications including Databases using MS Access and Electronic Communication using MS Outlook.

TBG Learning works closely with local jobcentres across Kent to help New Deal clients improve their chances of finding permanent work.

TBG helps New Deal Jobseekers get back in the job market. Our courses help them to gain the skills needed to look for the right job, apply for appropriate vacancies, gain some work experience and improve all round employability. The courses also help the jobseeker better understand the qualities attitudes and behaviours employers look for i.e. communication skills, timekeeping, team working and motivation.

Courses last from 6 to 26 weeks and provide training and work placements in the following areas:

  • Customer service
  • Business Administration with IT
  • Retail
  • Construction

Some delivery is undertaken by sub-contractors.
