Courses Available for Newham

New Deal 25+ IAP

This is a 13 week option for New Deal 25+ customers living in Newham. New Deal customers have the opportunity to gain work experience with various employers and also to improve their employability skills. New Deal customers are required to attend 30 hours per week (some exceptions for Lone Parents). £15 per week training allowance is paid on top of existing benefits plus there is also help with travel costs. A bonus up to £100 is also available for New Deal customers gaining full-time employment.

New Deal 25+ Basic Skills

This is a 26 week option for New Deal 25+ customers living in Newham. All New Deal customers work towards a basic skills qualification in Literacy, Numeracy or ESOL. There is also the opportunity to gain work experience with various employers and to improve their employability skills. New Deal customers are required to attend 30 hours per week (some exceptions for Lone Parents). £15 per week training allowance is paid on top of existing benefits plus there is also help with travel costs. A bonus up to £100 is also available for New Deal customers gaining full-time employment.
