MP IMPRESSED BY LEARNING CENTRE
Tuesday 2nd May 2006
A Centre which has helped hundreds of local unemployed people in Ealing to increase their levels of education and qualifications and find employment has been congratulated by local MP Piara Khabra. The courses run by TBG Learning' at their Centre (84 Uxbridge Road) help improve qualification levels and confidence in areas such as, writing, maths and computer skills - also known as 'Skills for Life'.
Piara Khabra MP, who met some of the learners on the Skills for Life and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) courses, said:
"I was very pleased to be invited to visit TBG Learning and was impressed by the support the Centre is giving to people with their literacy, numeracy and IT. Many of those who are benefiting from TBG Learning have never had a chance before to improve their skills and the Centre is really helping people who are in need."
TBG Learning's courses all lead to nationally accredited qualifications and the Centre's reputation has grown due to the professional and friendly support it gives each individual.
The centre opens week-days, evenings and Saturday mornings to be convenient to people who work. Most courses are free to learners because they are meeting key Government priorities for improving skill levels. TBG Learning works with Jobcentre Plus, Richmond-upon-Thames College and Learndirect.
Courses are open to all and start every week and anyone interested should call in at the centre at 84 Uxbridge Road or telephone 0208 5665252.
