MP HELPS LEARNING CENTRE CELEBRATE DOUBLE SUCCESS

Friday 10th February

Member of Parliament for Gravesham, Adam Holloway, helped an adult learning centre in Gravesend celebrate the success of its learners as well as the success of the centre itself.

During a visit to TBG Learning, an national independent training provider, Mr Holloway presented certificates to learners to mark their achievement in gaining literacy and numeracy qualifications.

At the same time, the MP presented an award to the centre itself to mark its own achievement in securing the highest rate of learner success across all of TBG Learning's ten centres in the UK.

Mr Holloway also took the opportunity to speak with tutors and meet many of the learners to find out how the training they were receiving was helping them find a better job, improve their skill levels, or enter into employment.

Commenting on the work of the centre, Mr Holloway said "I'm highly impressed with the professionalism and genuine interest shown by all the tutors and staff in helping people achieve practical qualifications, and enabling them to gain much more in the workplace and with their own lives."

TBG Learning offers courses in IT, literacy, numeracy and ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) for beginners to the more advanced. Each year learners aged between 16 and 90 undertake over 2,000 courses at the Centre in Gravesend.
