LIFE CHANGING ACHIEVEMENTS CELEBRATED

Monday 10th April 2006

Ealing Town Hall was the venue for a special celebration event held last week (6 April) by local training company TBG Learning. Certificates were presented to learners who had passed qualifications in Information Technology Literacy, Numeracy and English for Speakers of Other Languages. Many had achieved their first ever qualification and over 120 learners, family and friends attended.

TBG Learning received praise from Jobcentre Plus West London, from The Learning Hub (Learndirect)and from Richmond-upon-Thames College for its high success rate in helping unemployed and disadvantaged people to gain qualifications and, with guidance, find new or better jobs.

"TBG Learning provides excellent training for Jobcentre Plus customers in West London, in particular for those customers with Skills for Life needs - Literacy, Numeracy and English for Speakers of Other Languages. The quality of this training is reflected in the high proportion of these customers who move into employment," said Georgette Budhram, District Programmes Quality Manager, Jobcentre Plus, West London.

TBG Learning courses are open to all and start every week and anyone interested should call in at the centre at 84 Uxbridge Road or telephone 0208 5665252.
