Barking Centre learners fundraise for Charity
Barking Centre's Entry-to-Employment learners, aged 16-18, organised a fundraising Coffee Morning in support of the Breast Cancer Awareness Week. Around 50 other students and staff attend the event. All participants contributed a £1 to the charity, in return for which they were treated to a most welcome tea or coffee and a selection of cakes.
Christine Spiers, Centre's Learner Support Co-ordinator said, " the young people planned and implemented this fundraising event, which raised £50 in an hour, but equally importantly they learned how easy it is to get involved in charity projects to help others"
