A GLOWING REPORT FROM NATIONAL INSPECTORS

TBG Learning has received a glowing report from the Adult Learning Inspectorate, the organisation responsible for inspecting government-funded learning for people aged 16 and over. TBG Learning was awarded Grade 1 ('outstanding') in several areas, including Leadership and Management, for example, Inspectors praised the company's 'very effective operational management'.
TBG's inspection result, with an average inspection grade of 1.72 across all programmes, is the best achieved by any large multi-site independent training provider in the last two years (excludes re-inspections).
Over 25,000 young people and adults achieve a qualification each year with TBG Learning and inspectors praised the 'very good progress' by learners, 'most of whom have few prior achievements, but now make good progress towards reaching their career goals'. It highlighted the professional support from TBG Learning which 'effectively improves learners' confidence and esteem'.
Inspectors awarded Grade 1 ('outstanding') for TBG Learning's promotion of Equality and Diversity, which it does 'very effectively'. On average 3,000 learners enrol every month and TBG Learning has been highly successful in attracting and motivating learners of all ages and abilities, with high representation from 'hard to reach' sections of the community, including minority ethnic groups.
The delivery of workplace training, where inspectors highlighted TBG Learning's 'excellent development of vocational and personal skills' was awarded Grade 1 'outstanding' for Logistics and Grade 2 'good', for Customer Service, Business Administration and Preparation for Life and work.

The positive feedback from the inspectors is testament to the effort and professionalism of all our employees in delivering a first class learning experience. Every week we are fundamentally improving the life chances of literally hundreds of people and their families through excellent learning experiences, said Martin Dunford, Chief Executive, TBG Learning.
The inspection covered ten out of twelve TBG Learning centres and included visits to 29 workplace training programmes. A total of 250 learners, staff and employers were interviewed in the process.
