NEW SPONSOR FOR CRYSTAL PALACE YOUTH ACADEMY

28th March 2006

TBG Learning, one of the UK's leading training companies, is the new sponsor of Crystal Palace Academy, which develops talented young football players as prospects for the first team.

The Crystal Palace Football Club Academy, based in Beckenham, has a programme of training and education that aims to develop the skills of exceptional young players both on and off the field, to give them a rounded education and the self-discipline to succeed whatever route they take.

TBG Learning has its own highly successful programme for 16-18 year-old school leavers, called Entry to Employment, which gives young people the basic skills, self confidence and work experience they need to make the right choices about finding work or going into further education or Apprenticeship training.

"TBG Learning has come on board as an enthusiastic new sponsor for our Academy and their support is much appreciated. We share similar aims of giving young people a real chance through the right training and welfare support and we look forward to a long term partnership", said Academy Manager, Paul Lowe.

The Entry to Employment programme at TBG Learning assists 16-18 year-old school leavers who haven't gone onto college or found employment to increase their basic skills, self confidence and experience. Classes in IT, literacy and numeracy and work tasters with local employers are combined with community projects and special activities. Alternative choices include a Sports Leadership programme and Painting and Decorating and all lead to accredited qualifications.

TBG Learning is also a popular provider of computer training and other adult learning courses. For information call in at TBG Learning at 13-14 Ellerslie Square, Lyham Road or telephone 020 7274 4106.
